Thanks for the kind words guys. I was hesitant to post at first, but I thought it was more important to share so someone else could avoid the same mistake.

Were the babies far enough along to get any insight to what her next litter might look like for you?
Yeah... That's the killer part. The one albino Arab was probably the best patterned Arab I have seen. A big bold pattern, perfectly connected all the way down ending in a huge ladder tail with perfect lateral striping on the sides....

That sucks buddy... At least you were just trying to do what you thought was right. It's a shame you lost what sounds like some nice babies but at least mom is healthy, and you learned from your mistakes. She is beautiful btw

Thanks for sharing this Jeff. This hobby can only get better if we all share and learn from the hard times. So we owe you one buddy.

Keep your chin up and look forward to all the great litters you have planned this year.

So sorry Jeff. There's no doubt you've taken something away from this experience. If there's a silver lining, it's that you won't let it happen again.

Good luck with the rest of your season my friend.

She is in a 4 foot cage with a 90-91 degree hot spot with a tub to nest in. Since I started using the nest tubs on the cool side, every one of my females has nested the aspen how they wanted it then given birth in the tub.
