St Croix Medium/fast 7 foot rod. Shimano Calcutta reel with 65# Pro line. Caught it on a ~ 12" sucker minnow. I tried every bait in my arsenal for days all over the lake. Came in for lunch and was fishing off the dock. I had the sucker minnow out on a bobber and harness set up and proceeded to do some more casting. I went to reel it in to go to lunch and the musky swiped at it as the minnow came out of the water. I tossed it back in and kept casting with my other rod - trying every spinner, topwater, bulldawg and suick I had. After ~45 minutes of frustration, I gave up and as I barely moved the bobber reeling it in, the musky hit. Guess she was lurking in the weeds watching the sucker minnow, waiting for it to move again.
