Default Please Donate NRBE Daytona Auction

Please Donate NRBE Daytona Auction
This year the National Reptile Breeders Expo (NRBE) Auction at Daytona on Saturday August 21st will benefit the United States Association of Reptile Keepers. The money raised will go toward two very important USARK projects; 1) Challenging USFWS proposed Rule Change adding 9 constrictor snakes (including Boa constrictor) to the Injurious Wildlife list of the Lacey Act 2) The first comprehensive Economic Assessment of the Herp Industry ever done. Please donate to the auction and help make this fundraising effort an unqualified success! You do not have to be a vendor or even in attendance to donate. Please donate generously!

How to Donate

For all donations please include your name, company name, item description (genetics & sex if live animal) and retail value. Business cards work great.

Live Animal Donations- If you are attending the show please drop off at USARK Booth. If you are not attending the show please ship for Thursday delivery to:

USARK
c/o Wayne Hill
Ocean Center
101 N. Atlantic Ave
Daytona Bch, Fl 32118

Non Live Animal Donations- Please include name, description and value. Donations do not have to be Herp related. They can be anything of interest; books, art, antiques, jewelry, collectables… anything. You can drop at USARK Booth or ship to:

USARK
c/o Wayne Hill
621 Avenue M, SW
Winterhaven, FL 33880

Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers to work the USARK Booth and work the Auction. If you would be interested in volunteering for these important jobs it will greatly help us. Please email president@usark.org.

Thank You
Please thank Wayne Hill, Colette Adams, Zoo Med, Timberline, The Gourmet Rodent & Reptiles Magazine for working so hard to make this years Expo and Auction an event not to be missed. Please attend the Expo if at all possible. The future of the Reptile Nation rests partially on the success of this event. We have to be able to pay for all the measures we are taking to secure the future of the Herp Industry. NRBE, its staff and the Show Sponsors are helping to secure that future. Please support them with your attendance!

RIGHT ON! That's beautiful Karen

A user on another forum posted a question about the timeliness of donations, so I thought I'd post my response here in case others are wondering.

3 options:

You can bring animals and/or good directly to Daytona if you are planning to attend..

Live animals should be scheduled for delivery on Thursday before Daytona weekend. See the above post for the address.

Non-animals can be sent as early as now, and should probably not be sent any later than the week prior to Daytona so that no packages are misplaced, or are slow to be delivered, and then go unused for the auction (and then likely won't end up in the hands of USARK or Wayne and thus thrown away by whoever gets them).

As far as last minute donations, please try your best to avoid this. The last thing we want is for a person to donate something of sentimental and/or financial value, and it go unused. If you're thinking about donating, please plan it out now and get the ball rolling ahead of time to ensure your donation is put to good use!

Thanks for your consideration!
